Financial Information for 2010-11

MATRICULATION This reservation fee is due upon enrollment, which opens to current students in February and new students in March. It reserves your child's space for the year and covers processing costs. The fee is $50 for all students (K3 through 12th grade).

REGISTRATION (due by June 10 or upon enrollment if registering after June 10) This charge covers achievement testing, library acquisitions, furniture, equipment (instructional and playground), summer maintenance, and membership in the South Carolina Association of Christian Schools (SCACS) and American Association of Christian Schools (AACS). These organizations provide legal oversight, certification for our teachers, and accreditation for the school. The fee is $160 per student for K3 and K4. The fee is $220 per student for kindergarten through eighth grade, and $250 for grades 9-12. The registration fee is assessed to your account and posted on Edline June 1.

TUITION The tuition, usually paid in 11 payments July through May, pays for faculty and staff salaries and benefits and the daily operation of the school. The annual cost of tuition is as follows:

K3............................... $2,695............................ ($245 per month, July through May)

K4............................... $2,563............................ ($233 per month, July through May)

K5................................$3,124............................ ($284 per month, July through May)

Grades 1-6................... $3,256............................ ($296 per month, July through May)

Grades 7-12................. $3,388............................ ($308 per month, July through May)

If a student enrolls after July, the number of monthly payments will be adjusted accordingly. Tuition payments are due on the first of the month; a late fee of $35 is assessed after the tenth. Payments made after May 10 for any past due charges incurred prior to May must be paid by cash, money order, VISA, or Master Card. Personal checks are accepted after May 10 for charges incurred during May.

DISCOUNTS Two students in the same family living at the same address and being billed as one account receive a 5% discount on the annual tuition; three receive 15%; four or more receive 25%. There is no discount on the matriculation and registration fees. A 3% discount is given on the annual tuition if it is paid in full by check or cash before the first day of school.

BOOK FEES The prices for workbooks are published by June 1. Book fees must be paid by the first day of school since we cannot distribute books until they are purchased. Prepaying these during the summer will help avoid waiting in line during Open House. Please see the page titled “Workbook and Class Fees” for the most current listing of these costs.

ATHLETIC FEES Sports fees are due before the first game of the season. The seasons are divided into fall, winter, and spring sports. The fees are $75 for each varsity sport and $45 for each JV sport. If a parent has two or more children playing a varsity sport in the same season, the fee is $50 for the additional varsity siblings. The varsity fee includes a season pass for the entire family to all home games during that season. Parents of JV players will be charged admission for each game they attend. If a parent has a varsity and JV child, the pass for the varsity game will allow free admission to the JV game also.

OTHER FEES Class fees for courses such as physics, chemistry, and keyboarding are due before the first day of school. P.E. uniforms must be purchased before the first day of classes. A graduation fee is due for all seniors ($40) and kindergartners ($17.50) before their day of graduation. Returned checks incur a $35 fee (and personal checks are not accepted after two returned checks). A withdrawal fee of $50 will be charged if a student withdraws after the first day of school. Students in grades K3, K4, and K5 pay a $40 supply fee, which covers supplies such as crayons, pencils, glue, construction paper, scissors, school box, tissues, etc. for the entire year.

REFUNDS Matriculation and registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Workbook fees are refundable if the books are totally unused. Unused tuition is refundable and is calculated by prorating the daily rate of tuition (based on 180 school days).

PAST DUES Students whose accounts are thirty days in arrears may not attend class. All records and report cards are withheld until tuition costs, library fines, Day Care, lunch charges, and all other school fees are paid in full. Personal checks are not accepted for past due accounts. Students may not attend the first day of school unless the account is current.
