Ron Davis, Pastor & Administrator
Personal Profile:
Ron Davis has served at Sumter Christian School
since 1983 when he began teaching
sixth grade. He became
administrator/principal in 1990,
and on October 18, 2009, he was
called as pastor of Sumter Bible
Church, the school's founding
church.
He received a B.S. degree in
Bible from Liberty Baptist
College in Lynchburg, Virginia.
He then earned a Master of
Divinity and a Masters degree in
Christian Education from Liberty
Baptist Seminary (now Liberty
University). Pastor Davis was a pastor for three years in
Powhatan, Virginia before
coming to Sumter Christian School.
He was born and reared in nearby
Bishopville. He and
his wife Lucy have two grown
children and two grandchildren. |
Jon Broughton, Principal
Personal Profile:
Jon Broughton
begins his first full year as
principal of SCS this fall,
having arrived in April of this
year. He has taught and
administered in Christian
schools in four states
continuously since 1992. From
1980 until 1992, Mr. Broughton
served on active duty in the
Army. He received a B.S. in
political science from North
Georgia College and State
University in Dahlonega, Georgia
in 1979, and in 2004 he earned a
Masters degree in Education
Administration from Pensacola
Christian College in Pensacola,
Florida. In August, 2005, Mr.
Broughton was ordained to the
Gospel ministry in Atlanta,
Georgia. Mr. Broughton and his
wife of 31 years have two grown
daughters, two daughters in
college and one son who will be
entering 10th grade
at SCS this fall.
